- You will volunteer for an Italian NGO working in the southern regions of Cambodia, committed to protecting vulnerable communities through drowning prevention and disaster risk reduction programs.

Their mission is to provide local residents, especially children, with the skills, resources, and knowledge to prevent drowning incidents, while also preparing them for the increasing risks posed by seasonal flooding.
Project Brief
- Suitable for: University student, Experienced or Retired professional
- Project type: Unpaid Volunteer project
- Location: Cambodia, mostly office based with occasional field missions
- Time commitment : 9am 5pm Monday to Friday
- Duration: Minimum of 3 months
- Start date: Project is on-going, and you can join at any time, depending upon availability
- Reports to: Business Development Manager
Deliverables
Organize and facilitate at least one workshop on drowning prevention, aimed at training local staff or community members, ensuring at least 80% of participants show improved understanding of key prevention.
By doing so, you will contribute to building a safer and more resilient community, reinforcing Helpcode Cambodia’s role as a key player in disaster risk reduction.
Working Environment

Volunteers will primarily work in an office setting but will also have the opportunity to join occasional field missions, giving them firsthand exposure to the communities they serve. The NGO provides a flexible work environment where volunteers can thrive while making a meaningful difference.

Requirements
- Proficiency in English (B2-C1 level), both written and spoken.
- A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as International Development, Communications, Business, or a related area.
- Subject matter expertise: A strong understanding of drowning prevention techniques, including risk factors, safety measures, and emergency response procedures.
- Training and facilitation skills: The ability to design, deliver, and adapt training sessions to meet the needs of diverse audiences.
- Communication skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills to interact with participants, stakeholders, and partner
